There are no GA special projects at the present time,
but the possibility should be addressed by the By-Laws
Committee.
I would like to start a Civil War Project, for
example.

The GRC discussed this topic some. We also received
feedback from CCs. A
statement was submitted to the Council on March 18.
It's available here:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/Guidelines/membership3.html.
A
subcommittee report is available here:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/Guidelines/membership2.html.
Things to consider:
1) how many coordinators per county/special project,
2) voting rights (one person, one vote or some other
plan)
3) are there special projects in the new GAGenWeb?
(I assume the military
page has gone with Margie/Chuck/Gloria.)
I'm sure there's other things to think about, but
these are the ones that
come to mind right now.
