We've had some suggestions about membership, including having a
general
membership as well as a voting membership. I think having two types might
be making things more complicated than we need to.
The thing I liked about the voting and non-voting membership was that it
limited the number of votes per county without limiting the number of
assistants a county could have. But I do see how it could cause some
confusion.
one vote per person-regardless of the number of counties or
projects - and a max of two voting coordinators per county.
This is definitely much simpler... which is what most folks have requested
(keeping it simple).
Comments? I'd like to have one or two ideas to present to the
CCs for
comment and feedback (not voting) by Monday if at all possible.
Summing up a couple ideas that have been discussed:
Idea 1
One vote per person (regardless of the number of counties/projects)
Limit of 2 coordinators per county (both coordinators can vote)
Idea 2
One vote per person (regardless of the number of counties/projects)
Limit of 2 coordinators per county (only one coordinator per county can
vote)
Idea 3
One vote per person (regardless of the number of counties/projects)
Limit of 2 coordinators per county (both coordinators can vote)
No limit on assistants (who aren't considered members and thus don't vote)
Idea 4
One vote per person (regardless of the number of counties/projects)
Limit of 2 coordinators per county (both coordinators can vote)
Limit of 2 or 3 assistants (considered non-voting members)
I do hope we'll get a lot of feedback and comments on this.
