I am for going with the current By-laws and P&P. We have done a good job.
If after wearing them for a while we need to make adjustments we can.
Nothing in this life is perfect, but we have something close, at least I
think we do.

Subject: Re: [BY-LAWS] Updates to the current proposals
I have no objection to the new P&P articles as written. The articles do not
specify exactly *how* the elections are to be conducted. This would allow
the SC to determine election procedure. For example: votes could be sent
via email to the counters or registered on a form attached to the state Web
page. One way might work better for SC elections and another for RAs.
If we do not have comments from the committee members this weekend, I would
like to put the bylaws and P&P articles concerning SC and RA elections
before the membership on Monday.

Good evening, everyone.
I've gone thru the page with the current proposals on it
(
http://www.rootsweb.com/~gacolqu2/bylaws/proposals.html) and updated it
with the two paragraphs that we've revised concerning the timing of the
elections of SC and RA. I've also made the changes that Deborah suggested
a couple of months ago.
I took a stab at the P&P for the election procedures themselves. That's
also on the webpage. The new stuff is in red; the stuff to be deleted and
replaced is in blue. I switched the order of the SC and RA parts of the
P&P as well.
What is the committee's pleasure with regards to these changes? Do you
have a better idea for the election procedure itself? This really was just
a first stab at that and I'm quite open for other suggestions!
I'd like to hear back from you ASAP. We have an election to get underway
:-)
