Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Updated with Deborah's excellent suggestion:
~ Appointing local/county and special project coordinators. Dismissing
coordinators, if necessary
~ Monitoring all county websites
~ Maintaining the state mailing list, GAGen-L
~ Supervising the state web page
~ Issuing quarterly roll call
~ Maintaining national voters list, updating quarterly
~ Informing CCs of activities of the USGenWeb (for example: voting issues)
~ Responding to communication from CCs and researchers
~ Recruiting start-up help for new volunteers
~ USGenWeb guidelines for SCs:

I agree to linking to what we can...
Excellent, Deborah. I'd forgotten about national activities.

With YES responses from everyone, the CC responsibilities will be presented to
the CCs as below:
~ Maintain county website as required in the site requirements listed in the
P&P, uploading data when appropriate and keeping links up to date
~ Respond to communications from researchers, SC, ASC, RA
~ Answer roll call
~ Report change of email address to SC and/or RA
~ Subscribe to the GAGen-L or GAGen-D (digest mode) mailing list
~ Follow USGenWeb guidelines for CCs:
http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/CCguidelines.shtml
The proposals page has been updated to reflect this.

On another item, I think someone made the suggestion of linking our P&P to national, and then adding Georgia specific things. I think that could apply here. Most of what is on the list is on the national page.
One thing I would add is informs the CC of activies of national. I am thinking about things like voting on the logo, propsed changes to bylaws, etc. I have one SC who is silent. 3/4 of the time we don't know if he is breathing and we never hear about things. Vivian keeps us informed so when I get the notices to vote on something it is not out of the blue.
