Come on know. We arent picking on the ilustrious Forsyth County historian.
Everyone else has pretty much been reasonable but Donna went really crazy
with her reaction to all of this. Every time the project does something
someone over reacts. Jealousy of her job well done? I am sure she does a
fantastic job but I think we have 2 people being over sensitive and
unreasonable at this point. I hope you said that as a joke and you dont
believe that we are jealous of her and picking on her. Most all of us are
out of kindergarten I think. I can almost guarantee that I am the youngest
person on this list and I got out of kindergarten about 20 years ago.
We all get paid the same thing and we know it is nothing so no person in
Forsyth county is getting paid any less than the rest of us. We are getting
paid with the satisfaction of helping others. If anyone isnt in this
project because they enjoy truly helping others and would rather stir up
lots of trouble we probably dont need them.
Just my thoughts. I am ready for a vote also. cant handle this foolishness
from a very few on the list

What a crying shame that such a wonderful and noted Forsyth County
Historian ( and other Counties, as well) is being picked at the way she has
been. I truly believe it has more to do with jealousy of her job well done
than that she is within guidelines of GAGEN. Did anyone forget the mission
of GAGEN in the beginning? To provide information at no cost (whereas the
people that provide are VOLUNTEERING their time, not being paid or praised)
to becoming a step child of
Ancestry.Com, which I can tell you first hand,
gets paid ROYALLY for the CC's hard work??? Who cast the first stone in
this matter in the first place, and why?

You know I didn't say they did.
I looked at the guidelines and assessed what I thought I could handle.
I had 765 pages on my Forsyth page alone (most of it from my personal
records). It will take me some time just to make sure they are in
compliance
with all the rules before I can put them back up.
Some CC's may not have any material on their sites to go thru and add last
modified to or put the logo on. Some of the sites I had had not been
modified for over a year when I got them and/or had no original material. I
have added to them all and updated regularly. They all met the current
guidelines.
I don't believe in doing a job unless I can do it well. I may have to give
up
more.
As far as the Georgia Genweb Links and Information page, that is a State
page that should be in the State directory with someone who has the
password
to that directory tending to it although the last time I checked there
were
only about 7 out of the 159 counties linked to it.
