I have no problems with saying to a contributor: " I am leaving, are you
happy for your XX County information to stay on the XX county webpage or
would you like it to be removed." My only worry is that someone (this isn't
pointed at anyone) would have a spat with the Genweb, and remove all pages
automatically.
I would have no problems in removing everything if the GENWEB sites became
paid sites. I would only like people to remember they are caretakers of
these sites and not Owners.

It is not a question of how "big" you are. When
the material was lent, it was with the
understanding that it could be removed by written
request to the CC.
I am not assuming what they want done, I am
honoring their requests.
If they change the bylaws, then every contributor
should be notified and given a chance to remove
their material.
