It is not a question of how "big" you are. When
the material was lent, it was with the
understanding that it could be removed by written
request to the CC.
I am not assuming what they want done, I am
honoring their requests.
If they change the bylaws, then every contributor
should be notified and given a chance to remove
their material.

If someone donates something to the Houston
County webpage, I would assume,
unless advised otherwise, that they would want
the information to stay with
the page, if I left. Much of the information
we put on the homepages is
information we transcribe from other sources or
put into HTML format from a
donation by a lister or area genealogist. They
give us the work because
they want it to be available for Free to other
County researchers.
The Houston County page was left in great shape
by earlier webmasters. I
would have been poorer if they hadn't left me
that body of work. They were
generous and if I ever gave the page up, I
would hope I would be generous
enough to "pass on the mantle". Some of the
great work on the Houston
County page, was contributed by excellent
genealogists like Billy Mills and
Terre Moody Walker. It goes onto the website
for two reasons: they trust me
and they love Houston County.
If I left than if so inclined, then I could
take my individual work with me,
but everypage ? .
Seems like a breach of trust to the donaters.
Hospitality, generosity and
trust are core Georgia values, I hope I would
be a big enough person to
leave a legacy on a Free Houston County page.
respectfully,
