There are so many things to be thankful for that I'm not sure where one
should start.
Off the top of my head - what I'm thankful for this year, perhaps you too
will find some parallels:
Life - even with the aches and pains, heartaches, disappointments - yet
there is the flip side of each of those and there is hope.
Family - even though I've lost some family members and friends this past
year - I'm thankful for those that remain, and shall endeavor to tell them
so, to spend quality time even if I can't spend quantity time with them.
Discarding the squabbles for what is truly important - each other.
Friends - for without friends, life would be a lonely journey. True most
of my friends are invisible to me - known only through this medium, but yet
those whom I feel that should I visit them in person, they would still be
the kind, gentle souls they are here.
Co-workers - without whom work would be dull, those who share and give of
their time to assist others.
USA - where FDR's 4 Freedoms still shine. An idea that's stood the test of
time far longer than any other republic in the history of mankind.
USGenWeb Project - providing the opportunity to place material previously
either available only in local libraries or repositories or private hands
into a publicly available resource with researchers around the world at a
price that can't be beat.
GAGenWeb - opportunity to work with a variety of people from all walks of
life, as together we build, maintain and protect the history of our great
and glorious state. Being challenged to excellence rather than mediocrity.
Visitors - giving us the true measure of how we are doing, whether or not
what we do is of value to them
Contributors / Transcribers - both valuable assets to us - without whom our
sites would not be the fine ones they are today.
You - each of you that work in GAGenWeb - to make it the finest genealogy
effort for the State of Georgia
