Why would you be worried?
You've never had a job where you've seen someone hauled off to the
office and not know why, not be told, and then not start questioning
yourself about if you've as well screwed up and when your turn is? I
think all of us have. And the longer the anxieties go on, the longer
the worry and the fear grows.
I have never been in any organization that will share the reprimands
of one person to the entire staff. You may see them take the walk to
the office and you may see the sad face , but you will never see
announcements by management what actions if any were done to correct
an infraction and nor should you.
I have been in both types of organizations. Let me be more specific
with that. I have worked for companies that have kept everything hush-
hush, and then I have worked for companies that don't discuss
specific cases, but have been blunt and clear about rules violations
in general. I can honestly say the latter is the much more enjoyable
company to be involved with. A company that states publicly
termination reasons, earns employee respect for honesty and not
trying to hide things. Proving issues aren't a personality conflict
but rather a rules violation.
No removal procedure may be implemented against the same SC, or ASC,
within six months of a failed attempt, unless evidence is presented to
the Advisory Board that retaliatory actions are being taken, or
attempted, against the initiators of the original action. Evidence
that is proven false, may result in the removal of the CC.
It's Very Important to remember that the current petition as has been
stated on Board-L was made before the Bylaw. This means it doesn't
fall under those rules as the NC has stated. I'm going to also
assume that it means that another Petition not need to wait 6 months
should someone want to do one. It's either part of the quoted
motion, or it's not. It can't be both ways and straddling the fence.
I also believe that now the Recall Motion Procedures have passed,
that there does not need to be an attempt to settle an issue at the
state level. That's nowhere in the Motion. <This doesn't mean I am
against local solutions>. But again, this was before that Motion was
passed.
I think it's okay to be discussing Policy, as long as we leave people
and personalities out of it. These are important issues.
