Few of us can predict when an appointment might be possible. Plus,
the Archives will have to lay off more people (fewer than two dozen
working there now). There is no guarantee that there will be enough
staff to accommodate people seeking appointments. Nothing was said
about how many appointments might be available or when they would be.
The best thing we can do is protest. Write the Governor, Secretary of
State and state legislators. Call their offices.
The records housed in the Archives are public documents. They belong
to us. We need to tell our elected officials that we want access to them.

On the news this morning they said the Archives would be open by

This is terrible!!! I am just now getting so I can do my personal research
again, but have good days and bad days. How can I schedule an appointment
when I am not sure if it will be one of my good days???
