Kind of odd... I had a few counties (albeit each in a different state) when
I took on White Co. and it didn't seem to be an issue...?
Even if the "rules" have changed and aren't firm yet, why couldn't
someone
let you know?
For the states I have CC'd in (NJ, NY, OH, NC, GA, LA, NE, TX and CO) I have
never been involved in a state of so much turbulence and such.
If there is a "new" policy being considered limiting the number of counties
that GAGenWeb feels each CC is capable of handling appropriately, I'd love
to know.

It is with great sadness that the GAGenWeb Council accepts your
withdrawal
of your request.

Subject: [GAGEN] Request for additional county(s)
Several weeks ago, Linda Geiger and I requested to be 'allowed' to take on
Randolph and/or Stewart counties. We only have one county at this time -
Pickens, and we have a vested local interest in the Randolph/Stewart area.
Some other folks are stacking up between 4 and 7 counties each, so we
certainly thought we could help lighten the load. And these two counties
have had 'adopt me' notices on them for quite awhile.
Apparently we don't meet the current criteria? That is our assumption, as
no decision has been made, even after our repeated queries on the issue,
and there has been no response from anyone to our request (except the RC,
who cannot make the decision).
We withdraw our request to adopt these counties.
