I have not received a notice from the EC regarding candidates introduction pages but the
one below was forwarded to SC list by one candidate. If you’ll look towards bottom, she
includes a link to the candidate page. There you will find links to the candidate pages
if they have bothered to put one up. Voting starts next week.

Subject: [SC-USGWg] My candidacy for USGenWeb National Coordinator
Good morning everyone,
The national USGenWeb annual election will start in July and I am delighted to share with
you all that I am a candidate for the National Coordinator position; I would truly love
your support!
When I first became a volunteer for the USGenWeb Project in 2007, it all started in
Tennessee when I became the coordinator for Blount County. Next, I joined the NCGenWeb
team as a coordinator, then webmaster, and then Assistant State Coordinator. I am humbled
to have also been the TNGenWeb State Coordinator since 2011. Most recently, I became a
member of the USGenWeb Advisory Board and as I think about all of my experiences in the
project, I am truly joyful to have served to help others in their genealogy quest and
family history. Even more so, the knowledge, experience, and expertise of all of you have
been ever so important and helped me broaden my own horizons and understanding.
I decided to run for the National Coordinator position because I feel I have much to offer
the project and I would gladly welcome the opportunity to continue learning from all of
you. Most importantly, hearing your ideas on how we can work together and ensure the
USGenWeb Project remains a cornerstone of the genealogical community. Many of the efforts
I've coordinated on behalf of the Project have received national accolade as I've
tried to do what I can to broadly disseminate information about what we do and what we
offer. I love advocating for the project and would leverage my active presence in the
online genealogy community to extol all of our project's virtues. It truly would not
be the cornerstone that it is without the tireless dedication of all of you and our
steadfast volunteers.
