Vivian,
I think the reason we don't have anything about native americans is because there just
isn't that much out there.
I began trying to research the Cherokee Idians in South Carolina recently because my
husband's grandmother was part Cherokee from SC.
Didn't find much.
I did find this web site:
http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/baker.php
Haven't had a chance to do much with the site yet, but it looks like it is interesting
and fact filled.
I think I'm going to put a link to my 3 websites for this one as well as the others
you found.
I couldn't find anything on
ancestry.com about native americans. I guess it's
just never enough for some researchers, as we all well know.
Thanks for sending the links.

Hello, all,
I had an interesting email from a patron. He complained that there is
not enough Indian history on our county sites.
I sent him a reply, stating that Indian history is difficult to
research and that all our coordinators are volunteers.
We (myself included) could do a better job at this at the county
level. We also discussed at one time creating a state page.
There aren't many online resources for county-level Indian history,
but following are some links to information on the three tribes that
were in Georgia.

Adding these links to your sites at least would make it look less
like life began with white settlers (the gentleman's complaint).
Thanks.
