Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks to those working on updating the adoptables.
DeKalb and Meriwether are here, although a bit behind due to working
on the Save the Georgia Archives campaign. Volunteers assembled 236
packets of information for legislators last week. They will be
delivered this week.
If you live in Georgia, I hope you have contacted your state
legislator asking for his/her support. If you do not know your
legislator or need help with talking points, please let me know.
Also, the legislative session begins on Monday, Jan. 14 at the state
capitol. On that day we will have a rally at the capitol from 1-3
p.m. Our last rally was very effective and fun, too. If you think you
can come, please let me know and I can supply more details.
Thanks.

Hello everyone!
I hope you all enjoyed a great holiday season. Remember that this time of
year tends to be one where people have gotten together with other family
members and struck up conversations about their family history. As they
start or continue their research to see what they can find out about their
family history it is important that we present a relevant project to them.
If our sites have broken links and/or we are non-responsive to their emails,
then our pleas for their help in "building our project" will fall on deaf
ears!
So please as you respond to the first required roll call of 2013, take the
time to check your site for broken links and make sure you have taken the
time to respond to those emails you've received!
Here's to a great 2013 for The GAGenWeb Project! We have made a lot of
progress rebuilding the adoptable county sites so that even those sites
without a current CC are useful to researchers rather than appearing as dead
wood.
If you are having problems updating your sites, accessing ftp or formatting
data that has been submitted to you, please contact your regional assistant
or one of us. You can also go to the Tech Support page to see if there is a
volunteer listed who can help you.

Thanks for all you do!
