The USGenWeb Project is proud to announce that in celebration of our 10th
Anniversary, USGenWeb will sponsor a track at the 2006 Federation of
Genealogical Societies (FGS) Conference. The conference will be held in
Boston , Massachusetts , home to the oldest genealogical society in the
United States and the local host for the 2006 conference - the New England
Historic Genealogical Society, August 30-September 2, 2006.

TOPIC: 10 Years Later-The USGenWeb Project: A Valuable Research Resource
Chuck Knuthson
Chuck Knuthson is a professional genealogist who researches in California
and the West. A retired police captain, he instructs college genealogy
classes locally, and lectures at the local, state and national levels. He is
President of the 1,300 member Sacramento German Genealogy Society and
Treasurer for the Federation of Genealogical Societies. He has served as a
volunteer USGenWeb County Coordinator for Sierra County, California since
1998. A graduate of NIGR, IGHR, and SLIG, he is a member of the National
Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, Genealogical
Speakers Guild, and numerous other organizations.

Hidden Treasures of USGenWeb-There are many special projects within the
USGenWeb Project that are real gems unusual, unique or just unbelievably
comprehensive and they are all free!
Successful Partnerships Between USGenWeb and Genealogical Societies-Learn
how USGenWeb County Coordinators and members of local genealogical societies
can work effectively together to make information available for online
researchers while enhancing the societys publication sales. When local
societies work as partners with the USGenWeb county site, everyone benefits!
