GAGenWeb CCs,
Our once a year voting for our National Coordinator, and various other
positions is fast approaching. Voting begins July 1. (Your passwords will
be coming out shortly)
This is something that I urge all of you to participate in....whether
you're an "old" or "new" CC in GAGenWeb.
Some people say, "I don't want to vote because I don't know any of them
anyway." I wanted to share some of my thoughts about how to "get to know
them" to make a responsible vote.
1)Campaign pages (see below)
2)Look at their County pages...this will tell you so much about the
individual. Especially in the case of selecting our CC rep --- I feel
strongly that our representative should be a model CC.
3) Ask them a question. This will show you their specific views and also
how responsive they will be in the future to your e-mails.
4)Scan some of the archives of some of these lists ( you might try a state
list, i.e. GAGen, msgen-l, VAGEN-L
http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl
Type in the name of the list. For a broad prespective try, BOARD,
USGENWEB-ALL, USGENWEB-DISCUSS, and the regional lists: USGENWEB-SW-L,
USGENWEB-SE-L, USGENWEB-NW-L, and USGENWEB-NE-L.
5) Campaign pages for those people we can vote on in SEMA region (Southeast
Middle Atlantic states)

This page lists all the positions.

Now is the time to get to know them.... they all welcome private individual

You could also write privately to me (and others that you know have been

supporting and why.
The important thing is that you do VOTE !! It does make a difference.
