Thanks, Linda for bringing the election to our attention.
I whole heartedly endorse Linda Barton for the SEMA coordinator position,
as I feel she has done and outstanding job for us in the years that she has
served as our representative.
Read over the candidate's campaign pages -- and they also encourage you to
write to them with specific questions about their experience or if you want
to know how they feel on a topic. (And don't hesitate to email any of us
privately -- if you have a specific question or something that bothers you)
Several of these candidates were new to me -- so I wanted to get better
acquainted with them.
Take a few minutes to browse some of the Discussion lists to see what these
candidates may have posted in the past.
Go to the Archives of the various lists:
1)USGenWeb-SE-L(a)rootsweb.com
This one is specific for our SEMA region
2)USGENWEB-ALL-L(a)rootsweb.com
A national list
3)Grievance Committee
USGW-GC-D(a)rootsweb.com
4) And of course their individual "State Lists".
All of this so you can be ready to cast your ballot when the polls open.
They extend for several weeks to be sure that everyone is "in town" to
receive their password, and cast their vote.
I'll remind you when the passwords start coming out so you can look for it.
