I noticed in the discussions about the Masthead and interesting thing.
Someone was trying to find the United States Genealogy Network
(USGENNet) not a part of us.
I decided to try to find it and noticed an interesting thing. I went to
their site and then to Peach County
(my GAGENWeb site) but they had their own site. I then went to cemetery
listings and found the following:
"We very thankful to Millie Stewart, Guelda Hay and Davine Campbell for
allowing us the *exclusive* permission to post the Peach County
Cemeteries they gathered and transcribed. Any other site that displays
these records are in violation the copyrights of these ladies. Without
the efforts and hard work of all transcribers we would not have these
wonderful research records. Please honor the copyrights of others if not
we are likely to see people keep their records and not share them with
others and instead opt to publish them. Thanks.. Margie Daniels"
Well all their cemeteries I also have plus a whole lot more!! Is there
a copyright problem?? I think mine were submitted by other people but
not sure yet.
Go to
usgennet.org to Southern Folk to County Listings and choose your
site you may have the same problem.
Also very important: note in Georgia the blue link----it is to
gagenweb.org!!!!!
Really confusing for researchers to find two gagenweb's!!!!!! And that
page is not ours!!!!!!!
