There was and, as far as I know, still is an agreement for RootsWeb
to host the USGW Archives. I do not think that is in question.
The recent difficulties with TGN/Ancestry only concern the banner
that the company wants to place on all sites housed on RootsWeb. If
the current negotiations between USGenWeb and TGN are not resolved to
the satisfaction of the National Coordinator, the USGW national pages
may or may not move to a new server. No such move is in the works at
the present time. Even if the national pages do move, that does not
necessarily mean that the Archives would move.
As always, county coordinators are free to house their sites wherever
they wish.
