Happy Valentine's Day!
I use the technology available at the National Archives a great deal. The
Archives have microfilm/fiche readers which are connected to paper printers
and also to a computer. The Archives uses an adobe product which will scan
the film and convert it to a PDF file which you can then save to a thumb
drive or save the files on the computers hard drive and then burn to a CD.
Many Family History Centers (LDS Church) also have the technology, so you
may wish to check with them. I've been taking advantage of the feature at
the Family History Library in Salt Lake for several years.
I'd love to have the equipment in my office, but I don't have the $3000 to
5000 needed for the equipment. I understand that second hand products are
available, but I'd want to test drive first.
Cheers! Linda
