Howard,
Even if you use Front Page on your pages. You can still open then in
notetab light. You can open note tab light, click on file open.
Browse to your html files and open them, I'm not sure how many it will
open but I have done well over 80 at one time. Simply by holding
the ctrl or shift key and selecting them all.
Then fine the address you need to change.
and highlight
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb
click on Search and replace, and for replacement put
in
http://www.usgwarchives.org
and choose the button at the bottom that says "all documents" then choose
replace
all.
It will replace every instance of that address, but then be sure to also run it twice
more. once on
http://www.rootsweb.com/usgenweb with
http://www.usgwarchives.org
and then once more on
http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb with
http://files.usgwarchives.org
Save and close all, then you can simply upload your files as you normally would
with ftp or front page.
Editing your pages with notetab light will not change how Front Page handles
your pages unless you actually change the coding rather than just the simple
addresses.

Thanks to all for their reply. My problem is not with the internal county
site links because, for the time being, I am leaving my county sites on
Rootsweb. It's the external links that I am having to change. Instead of
entering the information on separate internal county pages I used the
archives and encouraged others contributing information to use the archives.
I would then just link from the county pages to the archives. Now that the
archives has moved and will shortly be removed from Rootsweb, I suppose that
in doing this, I made a mistake. Today, when I started changing the archives
links, I realized that I have a lot of changes to be made. I use "Front
Page" and it has the search and replace function but only on one page at a
time. Thanks again to all.
Howard

Hi Pat,
You could always experiment by downloading one of the programs, and making
a
copy of one of your files and seeing how you like it. And whether or not
it
would work for you.
Here is the link for downloading Web-O-Rama if you want to try it out.

I've done things the same way for years and am realizing how much things
must have
improved. I don't think Mozilla has any features like what you're
describing. If I
change .html editors at this point, would it wreak havoc with any of my
other features
(background images, tables, etc.)? Are Web-O-Rama and Notetab both
WYSIWYG?
Maybe I
should start out with something small and see how it goes.
Even though Howard is the one who asked the question, I appreciate the
advice, too.
