Howard,
If you haven't already found this - in Front Page - you can search and
replace a URL or part of one on every page of your site at one time if you
check the box Search All Pages AND Find in HTML.
If you don't find it - write me off list and I'll send better instructions.

Thanks to all for their reply. My problem is not with the internal
county
site links because, for the time being, I am leaving my county sites on
Rootsweb. It's the external links that I am having to change. Instead of
entering the information on separate internal county pages I used the
archives and encouraged others contributing information to use the
archives.
I would then just link from the county pages to the archives. Now that the
archives has moved and will shortly be removed from Rootsweb, I suppose
that
in doing this, I made a mistake. Today, when I started changing the
archives
links, I realized that I have a lot of changes to be made. I use "Front
Page" and it has the search and replace function but only on one page at a
time. Thanks again to all.
Howard
