Liz,
There is no problem with transcribing abstracts - people have published and
sold books of them after all! I can't wait to get to Fayette & Henry
county on there because I know that is where all of the early legal notices
were sent to be published. I am otherwise distracted at the moment by the
deed indexes Fayette has gotten online though.........
The whole setup seems to be much more efficient than other similar databases
I have worked with.

Yes, and the most amazing thing is the search feature. You can
select a
year you want to search, for instance I did
Culloden and it will highlight Culloden in any paragraph of the papers for
the year. Don't know if it is legal or not
but I have started with the year 1826 and transcribed any articles with
mention of Monroe County.
Galileo itself is a terrific asset.
