Belinda,
It looks great! I use IE 8 and everything on the site functioned well with
it. I really like the bookmark page.

Subject: [GAGEN] New Webster County site
Hello all, I hope everyone is doing well.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have uploaded the newly
redesigned
site for Webster County and wanted to pass it along to you all to get your
feedback. Here is the url:
http://www.thegagenweb.com/gawebste/
I created the site using Dreamweaver CS3 after some training with the
"Hands
On Training" Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 book by Garrick Chow (published by
Lynda.com). It was a great book and made things easy to understand. It
doesn't cover everything about Dreamwaever, but gets you started on using
and understanding all the toolbars and how to set things up, and gives
references and video tutorials to help learn more.
I plan on doing Stewart County in a similar style and will post to this
list
when I have that uploaded.
I'd love to get some feedback on user-friendliness, any problems that
might
show up on different browsers, and what you all think about incorporating
the social media aspects into the site. I'd love to know what you think
about the bookmarking page I created at
delicious.com (see the right
sidebar
on the pages). I have also created a moderated group on Facebook which i
hope will facilitate getting researchers in touch with each other as well
as
possibly providing a way to obtain more information to include on the
GaGenWeb site. I include instructions on how to request joining the group
in
the sidebar, so let me know if you find the wording understandable.
Thanks all!
Belinda Slocumb
