Have any of you visited Montgomery County in GAGenWeb Project pages
recently? If not please do for it is really a well done page. The
background color is easy on the eyes and the links and text colors are
also easy on the eyes. The page is easy to navigate with a easy flow of
information. All of our pages are different and that is what makes the
GAGenWeb Project pages so unique and not boring to visit. Ashley
Pollette and Teresa Todd Co-Coordinators of the Montgomery County
website are really to be complimented for their great job at building up
this county page. They work well together as a team and one can see from
looking at the pages they have created that their partnership has been a
successful one. The page has a search engine for searching the archived
queries and other material on the pages. There is also a What's New
section that provides the visitor with up to date information about
genealogy projects and events in the area, local church information and
announcements, family reunions and other area news. A county mailings
list with Instructions and a link for joining the county mailing list. A
wonderful Civil War section for those researching their ancestors
military service records. This section includes Letters; Cavalry Units;
Infantry Units; Artillery Units; Veteran Sketches; Pensioners; and
the 1906 Veterans Census. There is also a section which has the wills of
the county pioneers. In addition to the fore-going information they have
a Cemetery Section which includes at present the tombstones inscriptions
from eighteen different county cemeteries. Ashley and Teresa have really
done a wonderful job of building up this GAGenWeb Project County page.
Montgomery is a county not to be passed by and one that really stands
out. Great job Ashley and Teesee!
