To Whom It May Concern:
I am the Great-Great-Great-Great-Granddaughter of
Josiah W. Taylor of Newton County, GA. I have a copy of my Grandfather's
will, and am trying to locate where he and his sons may have been interned.
His will states he died somewhere around January, 1839. Witnesses on the
will were Barnes W. Dixon, James McCollum, and W.P. Man. His esteemed
friend, James Dimon of Dekalb, GA., was ordained as the executioner of his
will.
Josiah's wife was Elizabeth, his sons were Alfred or
Alford, Robert, and William. He had a daughter Mary, who married Elijah .
Josiah also, had two minor grandchildren Elizabeth Jane and Charles Taylor
Plunkett, who were named as beneficiaries in his will and testament.
Josiah's son William was living in the Republic of
Texas at the time of his will. The Newton, GA 1860 Federal Census,
filename pg0047.txt, leads me to believe they lived in Ga during the time
the census was taken.
Any information on my ancestors would be gratefully
appreciated. Thank You.
