Best start is county courthouse for sure. Old newspapers fill in the blanks and
hopefully tell more of the story once the main players are known.

There may have been a coroner's inquest which may be her best option. Ijust
transcribed a coroner's inquest in Montana and it gave quite a bit ofinfo. Also one
for my husband's grandfather in Hawaii who diedmysteriously. Pretty informative with
details, who the witnesses were,what they saw, etc.Newspapers are a great idea. It's
possible that there was a trial of theperpetrator since he was murdered so I would check
court records. Andnewspaper accounts of the trial may be of help. County clerk may have
