As a software professional(my real job -genealogy is really a hobby) The site may be
legitimate in intent but it also looks like they are going to charge you to help them
develop their product. That is really sort of a scam in itself because they are not really
telling you who they are or how dedicated to support of the project they are going to be.
The site is a French base site and from what I can tell French privacy laws are going to
let them play their cards a lot closer to the vest than US law would. By law in this
country the ownership of close held corporations is a matter of public record. You have to
get a bit cutesy with holding companies and lawyers here to hide. It is doable but a bit
harder than someplaces abroad.
