Tim - the 1850 and 1860 links for Carroll county don't work - the index is
on the county site, if you want to add that

Thanks to all the CCs who've sent in corrections to the site. As
I work
through the responses, I'll send you each a note that I've got the link(s)
added in.
One thing I meant to mention but forgot to include in my announcement was
how the material was laid out on the pages where I found the links.
On the site
http://www.rootsweb.com/~census/ the files are laid out in this
fashion - state/census/county
On the site
http://www.us-census.org/ the files are laid out -
state/county/census.
For files in the USGenWeb Archives, I got the transcription info off the first
URL above. For images on line in the Archives, I got that info from the
Archives coordinator.
My preference and the easiest to work with were the files at the second URL -
which Ron Eason, Heard County, works with. The other census project pages
were
a real pain to get info from and is why it took so long to do this page.
My efforts were to point out links to census records online - period.
The first priority whether full or partial transcriptions, secondly indexes
and images, next what was in progress of being transcribed and lastly those
needing to be done but that I had no record of anything on.
As I said in my announcement of the URL, I've not yet checked county sites
but figured if I asked you all could tell me quicker what you had and where
it was!
This page was not done at the behest of any one person or to highlight one
census group over another. Where items show 2,3 as being transcribed I've
not checked to see if the persons for 2,3 are the same person or not.
