I was told by a little "birdie" that Maggie was being set up all along,
and that they never intended for a merge to take place. <sigh>

Maggie, et al,
At present, no authorization was given to redirect any pages. When that is
to become official, I will tell you when to do it. At present I have not
seen anything in my mail from you, directed at me, with anything I would
even remotely agree to. You have talked in generics and addressed your
comments when made, to everyone.
I realize that you had the pages redirected, and I have just sent out an
email to Tim Pierce and Tim Stowell that explains that no authorization was
given by me to make any changes whatsoever to our pages.
I would appreciate, if you would like this merger to happen, if you would
from here on out, talk directly to me and Connie and Wayne.
We will then talk to our people and we will make decisions based on this
approach.
A draft idea, to which none of us agree on, is not the basis for which we
wish to enter into a merger with.
I have directed my people to cease everything until we can talk to our staff
and get their input and until we can agree on a merger proposal that makes
sense. Right now, this is an Archives deal and no where in it does The
USGenWeb Census Project get anything out of it.
With that said, I would appreciate you helping in the facilitation of
putting everything back the way it was.
Hope to be hearing from you.
Thanks,
Ron

Ok the pages for the Census Project can be accessed at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgw/census/ and I am going to put up a link from
the Archives Census Project Pages to them so that folks can still access
them.
