Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Please accept our sympathy on the
loss of your daughter.

I can't vote the same way you folks vote. I have been able to vote with
my web browser, Lynx 2.7.1, in every election since 1998, with every type
of voting software.
This year, the folks at the election committee decided to go fancy and
make a voting booth that I can't enter.
I am not sure this is worthwhile to do anymore.
I guess I can file a grievance. Not that it will do any good.

Effective immediately 2313 hours, central daylight time, 1 July 2001 I
hereby resign any and all positions I hold in TXGENWEB.
The reason is that at approximately 1700 hours today, I lost my 19 year old
daughter.
Ken Short.
==== TXGEN Mailing List ====
The TXGEN-L/TXGEN-D mailing list is for announcements and the
discussion of issues concerning the volunteers of The TXGenWeb Project.
This is NOT the proper list for posting genealogical research queries.

Please forward this message to any lists you are on. Thank you so much.
********************
All e-mail containing voter's ID passwords have been sent. The bounces are
now coming back in. Many bounces are due to "full mail box" messages.
The EC has a procedure in place to work bounces but it will take a day or so
to sort through and process them all. Questions about bounces, that cannot
be resolved by the EC, will be forwarded to the volunteer's SC.
If YOU have not received your password by tomorrow morning, please contact
the EC. This will help us sort out bounces and also get the list corrected.
Thank you for your understanding and help.

Did everybody receive their password?
If you received a password for more than one address, don't use both!
You need to let Keith Giddeon know at keith(a)giddeon.com
If you are not a CC anywhere, you still can vote for the National
Coordinator and the Representative-At-Large. The Archives representative
for the next two years will be Vicki, as nobody ran against her.
Here is what the letter from the votling place looks like. The
election begins in less than two hours. Since we can only vote once,
and I might want to change my mind, I am in no hurry to vote.
