Here's the latest, and last, message from Emily before returning on Mon. 8/7. I know
we're all itching for details. -and tips on pronunciation of some of these names...!
Dear Frongoch List,
We are in Aberystwyth at the National Library going nuts with # reading Latin in the old
script, but loving it! Gary tells me that it is hot in Fortland. We have had some rain,
but this evening was beautiful. Saturday is our last day at the library and as a
wonderful gentleman I met via email is driving from Dolgellau to meet us is so kind to
forward this to you, it will be my last chance to write.
Roland and Unc parted from us Friday and will head South to their Morgan home, after
stopping at Strata Florida and Dinefur Castle. We hope to follow behind them a day later,
but to also go to Haye-on-Wye (book stores there! <G>. Gary and Sandra remained in
the Frongoch area. All of us have many photos and stories to share. (It may be best NOT to
believe all the stories! <G>)
It has been grand getting to know our cousins and meeting such wonderful people as Roy,
Keith, Ifor, Mr. Price and their wives. Both Davies couples (each being our B&B hosts
where Gary and Sandra stayed and where the rest of us stayed) were wonderful. We
couldn't ask for a better trip - other than lasting longer. The Welsh are truly grand
and all of us should be - as I know you are - proud of your Welsh heritage.
Start saving those pennies -you must come over here as soon as possible - It's
magical!
Best Wishes,
Emily
