Thank you everybody for the welcomes and nice comments.
Elfed, I looked for the will in the catologue on the National Library of
Wales' website. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to see it because I'm
in the United States and have no possible way of getting to Wales at this
time. Thank you for informing me about it, anyways.
I also forgot to mention that if you go to
www.maps.google.com, you can see
the same imagery of Wales as in Google Earth for free without downloading
anything, just without 3d terrain.

Hello Nathaniel,
Thank you for the latest information about Google earth - it will be a
very useful aid to family history research in Wales.
I am descended from John ap Evan who was the brother of your Owen ap Evan.
5 of John ap Evan's children emigrated to the USA and I am descended from
one of the 5 children who stayed in Wales.
You can see some of my mailings to this list on Frongoch - Wales L
Archives starting in March 2007
I would be very interested in any information which you may have relating
to the family of John ap Evan which has not been obtained from the following
books-
1. "Welsh Founders of Pennsylvania" by T. A. Glenn
2. "Merion and the Welsh Tract" by T. A. Glenn
3. "Welsh Settlement of Pennsylvania" by Browning
4. "Historical Collections of Gwynedd" by Jenkins.
Are you aware that a copy of Owen ap Evan's will is available at the
National Library of Wales ?
The list may be interested in a new book that has been published in Wales
(in the English Language) called " 150 Famous Welsh Americans" by W. Arvon
Roberts. It includes a section on Abraham Lincoln and his connection to Evan
Robert Lewis. The book (ISBN 1- 84524 - 077-4) can be purchased through
Amazon and other sources on the internet at about $24.

Elfred,
Many thanks for letting us know about the book in Wales. If you ever hear
anything about Peter Bartrum's book do post.
I'm still trying to get to your letter...I'm so sorry...has been a very
busy
time.
Thanks for posting...and thank you again Nathaniel. Let's see if this
email
list can get back on its feet!
Best wishes,
Emily
