Greetings all,
A new prospective member who descends from Owen ab Evans of Vron Goch has
contacted me. Hopefully, we will be hearing from Shirley any time. As we
have been quiet lately, I'm mentioning this, so you will welcome her.
Mark, who just subbed to the list, is requesting information on a locale in
Wales. I'm sure you saw this. He also made the request on the POWYS list
which could prove beneficial to him. If any of you aren't on that list,
you may wish to be as members there can help with your other Welsh lines.
This was my reply to Mark. When I Cc'd it to the Frongoch list, I mistyped
the listname! <G>......so it goes to you now. (See below)
We still have a person or two who are not connected to the farm, on the
list. Hopefully, they will try to find a connection to the farm and join
us in locating more about Fron Goch in the 1600s. I'm sure people think we
are a surname list, although references to us indicate we are not.
Unfortunately, for them, this is not where we post our lineage. We all
know our lineage and each others! <G>
BTW, Beth. I received the ILL on the Evan's book and they won't send it.
These roadblocks are maddening. I now must find the library who has it and
write them for copies of the pages. I feel like I could go there faster
and get them. IF I correctly recall, it was at the archives in NC? (Am I
forgetting?) If so, does anyone live in the area?
TTYL,
Emily
Mark,
This is not a list that can help you with these kinds of things. We are,
also not a surname list. This group focuses ONLY on the descendants of
families who lived in a tiny town called Fron Goch in Merionethshire,
Wales. Acutally, the town is most recent and Fron Goch families (which
interests this group of emailers) lived there in the 1600s.
IF you are NOT related to ancestors who lived on the farm called Fron Goch,
this list will not help you in any way.
I noticed you emailed the Powys list. That list could be very helpful to
you. Stick with them.
Best wishes,
Emily
