Greetings,
I'm forwarding this as I just discovered it never reached any of you. It
appears Roland sent it using a different email addr so it never made it to
the list. (I get copies of everything.)
Here is his list of what we need to see before the trip. I cannot stress
enough on how EVERYONE should try to help us see all these records.
Please, you need to volunteer. The group who is going is spending a lot of
money and time to do research which will help all of you who remain home.
Granted, we will benefit in seeing the land, but we promise to return with
tons of photos and stories to share. We dearly wish all of you could go,
but our efforts will benefit everyone, and we really need your help to get
the most out of this trip.
As it is senseless to spend time in Wales going through info that is
accessible here, we hope that ALL of YOU will offer to order some of the
films below and view them prior to our departure (Emily leaves July 15; all
others leave July 25, as far as we now know).
PLEASE, post to the list those you plan to order, so others won't duplicate
your efforts. Ask for help in what to do and what to glean from these, if
you need it. We are on this list to help each other and we need all of
you, now.
When you have viewed the films, PLEASE give a full citation (film number,
source, etc.) and post the contents that are relevant.
There is no way I could thank all of you enough for helping with this. It
means we will be more successful, no doubt. Just know that, from all of
us, we are most grateful.
Thank you.
Emily

Sorry folks, but reality has pressed in on all sides of me lately. Here is
the list that I have come up with for FHC research. Quaker records for the
period are proving difficult to locate. These records are on microfilm and
your local FHC will request them from SLC for you. Unless you have a
microfilm reader, you can't do them at home. They may let you use them at
your local library or your local historical society, but I don't know that
for certain. I have always viewed the films in the FHC library.
