Hello, again---
Roy of Dogellau sent me the following tidbit on a new catagory of records
we may wish to research.
He writes:
I found another class of document in the Great Sessions that I now
wish I could add to that - Juror's Writs: years ago I was told that there
was nothing of use in this class, but last Saturday I finally looked for
myself, and found hundreds of name lists - virtually a census of landowning
families. So that's a lesson - never listen to what others say!
BTW, no word from Mr. Price yet, but Keith tells me that he is a novice at
email/computers and has asked that I be patient with him. Believe me
---all of you willl be the first to know, if I'm successful.....if not,
I'll at least whisper it to you! <VBG>
ALSO --has anyone been watching the British pound? I need to as it can
fluxuate. It doesn't ususally fluxate much, but I heard about a month ago
the Irish Punt was down & still is. It is usually cheaper to convert US
dollars in England rather than here, but you may need some money the minute
you get off the plane. ALSO, always check more than one bank and NEVER, I
repeat NEVER use US money to pay for a hotel, etc. You can litterally pay
double or nearly so. A friend of mine was foolish not to listen to me and
did so as he failed to get some money before he left. Banks aren't open as
often as ours sometimes. Please know that individual US states have
different rates than their neighboring state. If you live close to a
border, check both. If some of you going aren't sure what to do about $$,
just ask.....you KNOW I have opinions! <G>
Take care, everyone,
Emily
