FYI --For those of you who do not have access to this book, you might try
the following URL for some info from it on our Evans line.
Evans Family Records by J. Montgomery Seaver. Pub. by the American
Historical Genealogical Society, 2000 North Broad St, Philadelphia, PA. No
copyright is given and I would seriously guess it was done in the early
1900s given the size and appearance of the paper and photos. I've seen
other books in this time and this one is very similar in nature. Perhaps
one of you has knowledge of it and it's quality. Frankly, I don't hold a
lot to it as there are only 25 references and first is listed Americans of
Royal Descent by Browning and some of Burke's works. All the others appear
to be books, as well.

I have never seen this book and can't vouch for its accuracy. I would
suggest comparing it with ones we know to have more reliability and
definitely for the older generations with Bartrum or the Mss. at Salt Lake.

OK --here's a scary thought! This guy Seaver did a book on the Rogers line,
also --SAME format! AND...I just found several ..make that MANY others by
him. It appears he just compiles data from others and publishes. No
original/primary work really.
