Susan and all...
Thanks for the website. I found both chapter 11 and 12 interesting as I've
ancestors from Germany that were part of Penn's venture and are mentioned
in this text. If you don't mind, I would like to share the URL with the
Germantown list as all those mentioned are of interest to many there.
It is very interesting to see the formation of this area and to know so
many of our area of Wales were involved this early. It is intersting to
note that Thomas ab Evan settled first and then his brothers came. Does
anyone know on what ship Thomas arrived? I'm still searching for Sarah's
arrival and think she probably came with her husband, perhaps separate from
ther brothers. The way this is written, it is hard to tell if Cadwallader,
Owen and Robert arrived before July 1698 or not. If the info is in
chronological order, it seem they did, but "....was soon after joined by
his brothers, Cadwallader...." is too vague.
No news from contacts in Wales recently, except Roy from Dogellau has some
info in the snail mail to me. I'll let you know when it arrives.
AND...we've not heard from many of you lately. We also have some very
silent new members. Please let us know how you link to the Farm Fron Goch.
This list won't help you much if you aren't connected to it. We all know
our lineage and are striving to learn more about the farm and ancestors
prior to 1689. If you do connect, we'd love to have you join us online
where we can hear your thoughts and opinions. Do let us hear from you....
Best wishes, everyone.
