Emily and all:
My cousin, Sandy, and I are preparing for our trip and the excitement
is growing.
We leave on July 25th and arrive at Gatwick on the morning of the 26th.
From there we are taking the train the Chester where will pick up a car
and drive to Bala. We would expect to get there about 5 pm or so.
We look forward to meeting all of you on the evening of the 26th for
dinner. Just let us know where and when.
Had anyone heard from Roland? I tried to send him a number of
email concerning our car arrangements but have not hear back from
him as of today.
Best to all of you and hope to hear from you soon.

Greetings,
Hopefully, this note will find all of you well and those who are beginning
to pack are feeling the excitment... July 25th may seem a long way off,
but probably not! <G>
I am leaving July 16th. I would appreciate at least one of you saving all
the email until my return in the case I get bumped off the list. I don't
anticipate having a problem, but one never knows. My last extended trip
went well and then I was bumped off just three days before my return!
To the Travel Group: Are there any last minute checking or arrangements?
Any timelines you wish to share? Does everyone have the phone number at
Fron Goch? Is is agreed we will meet there the evening of July 26th,
correct? We have dinner with Keith, Ifor and wives July 27th in Bala.
Keith has allowed me to use his computer once or twice to email the group.
In the case I get bounced, I may just email Beth and have her forward the
message. OK, Beth? Trust me, there is little doubt that we won't find a
Cyberbar in Bala or anywhere nearby!
Another reason I wrote:
The following message just appeared on the Pugh email list. I've asked for
copies of the sources that I don't have below. Do any of you have these
sources, just in case I can't check them before leaving....it is surely too
late now to order books, etc.? I need to verfy the data below.
I am asking for more details from this person. I do have sources 1 & 6
listed below, of course.
Now to find Gwernefel, Llanycil, Merionethshire! <G>
Best wishes,
Emily
To whom it may concern.
In answer to the often asked question, what it the land origin of robert
pugh or more correctly Robert Ap Hugh that married to sarah evans d/o
Evan lloyd Evans.
He and his family I.E. Father came from Gwernefel, LLanycil,
Merionethshire Wales.
Robert ap hugh is the son of Hugh ap Griffith and his wife mary. This
hugh ap Griffith is the grandson of Evan Ap robert the grand father of
Sarah evans. Robert decends from a younger son and thus the difference
in generation.
Hope this helps with your research in Wales
Sources for the above are
1. Welsh founders of Penn
2. Gwynned
3. Philidelphia wills.
4. Gwynned land records
5. Visitations of Wales for merioneth
6. Several books by Glenn.
