Hi,
Interesting little site. Hugh Pugh - what were the parents thinking? :)-
Both were probably Welsh, but doubtful they were Quakers. Definitely the
right part of PA though.
Have you seen "The Robert Pugh Family - One Branch of the Robert & Sarah
Evans Pugh Family"
by Mary Elizabeth Pugh and Margaret Louise Pugh Saville or "Capon Valley -
It's Pioneers and their Descendants" by Maud Pugh? Both site other secondary
sources, but have a lot of info.
Terry

Hi Terry,
I also don't know if the Quaker records were kept intact in Wales after
the
migrations of the late 1600's. At this point all my research has
been in
this
country.
I did come across an interesting web site that might have some of "our"
people on it.
It deals with Pennsylvania executions.
http://users.bestweb.net/~rg/execution/PENNSYLVANIA.htm
Name: Pugh, Hugh
Race: White
Sex: Male
Occupation: Millwright
Crime: Murder
Method: Hanging
Date: May 9, 1718
County: Delaware
Name: Thomas, Lazarus
Race: White
Sex: Male
Occupation: Farm Hand
Crime: Murder
Method: Hanging
Date: May 9, 1718
County: Delaware
since these two people were hung on the same day, I wonder if they were
involved in the same crime? Doesn't sound like our peace loving Quakers,
but
the
place, date and names fit.
