Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Than you everyone who has helped, in particular, with providing
source to transcribers. Volunteers have been sending out fiche

entries which he's scanned.
Thanks are also due to Ancestry who will be scanning the film

entries which are just itching to be transcribed.
Meanwhile, in London, volunteers have been helping scan entries
using the scanner bought by RootsWeb. We would like to thank, in
no particular order, David Marshall, Mark and Chris Pepall, Colin
Tuckley and Jo-Maree Courtney. (I now have a terrible feeling I may

If anyone else would like to help out scanning here, please contact
We would also like to introduce and thank Elinor Wood and Allan
Raymond who are coordinating new volunteers and syndicates
respectively. The recent upsurge in volunteers is largely due to their
