Hi all,
I have an idea that may sound stupid, but here goes anyway. Instead of
trying to focus on the whole of the proposed bylaws, why don't we take it
one or two articles at a time? It may be pointless to discuss all of them
one by one, but it may open all of our eyes up a little more to what's
going on with FLGenWeb. I'll start off...
I had that idea before you :>) But I never told anyone :>)
Many of the Articles are boilerplate and could be reviewed and commented
upon quickly. Possibly Jim Powell could put them out that way with the "no
brainers" first.
Jim???
I have also commented below.
When we hear guidelines, rules and bylaws, there is this little bell
that
goes off. We start to fear losing control of those things that we have
controlled all along. Instead of fearing these words, it would suit all of
our purposes to work with them and iron them down to something we can all
be happy with.
By-Laws are needed for structure, guidelines, rules, how about having
"minimum page requirements" everything not included therein is left to the
ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness of the CC. Of course there would
have to be some prohibitions for the sake of propriety and descency.
