Hi Gang,
I also run a work site on the Net, besides volunteering for run two FLGenWeb
sites. I know how important it is to keep up to date on the URLs on our
sites. I've just found out about a small link checking program that I wanted
to share with you all.
It's call Xenu. I've downloaded it and have been using it for about a week
now and I love it. In checking both my sites it I see I need to update a few
URLs. It only takes a few minutes to completely check a site and it tells
you how many URLs you have on your site and checks each one to make sure
they are working. It will check as many levels of your site you want and
much more. After its done it gives you a report for the links that were not
working. Its pretty neat.
Now before you go to the URL to find out about this neat program. I must say
that its not for all computer systems. So for those who can't use this link
checker or don't want to download yet another program. I'd would be happy to
check your sites for you and then email you the report. Free of course.
(Just give me a day to get the report to you, as it works best when traffic
on the Net is low, I use it mostly in the mornings) But for those who love
to add new gizmos to your computer you can find out more about this neat
little program at:
