I guess I ought to explain the voting lists that we will be using..
there will be nine (9) lists in all..
1) The National Coordinator/Bylaws ballot.. everyone will get a
will be on this list.
2) The State Coordinators ballots.. there will be four (4) lists, one
for each region.
3) The County Coordinator ballots.. there will be four (4) lists, one
for each region.
I am going to send a "test" mailing on the NC/Bylaws list tomorrow.
This will let us know that we have everyone on the list, and that we
have good email addresses for everyone. Of course, there are still
several people for whom we have NO email address..<grin> we're still
working on this, however. We will forward all bounced email to the
appropriate SC for action. I'm also going to send an announcement
for you to share with your CCs. BTW, the list I will be using is an
"announce" list, and does not accept replies.
The voting process goes like this. We will be using software called
UseVote. We provide a list of voters, and it sends out the ballots..
and receives the completed ballots. At the end of the election
period, the vote counting software takes over, and counts the
ballots. There are a few things to remember about UseVote..
1) It will only accept ballots from email addresses that were on the
list that it was given.. everyone must vote from the address we
have on the list.
2) It will not accept "write-in" ballots.
3) You can vote more than once, but, when the second (and each
subsequent) ballot is received, the first (or previous) ballot is
invalidated, and the new ballot will be counted.
Thank you,
Kay Mason
