Madam Director,
One of the great things about the Bay County CC is that it is a
genealogy society. That means we have personal contacts with not only
our 60+ active members, but also with everyone those members know who
might have Web-authoring and organizational skills, as well as physical
access to many of the original records of Bay County that are suitable
for indexing.
That's a powerful concept for baton passing, IMHO.
Yours Aye,
William J. Zehner

Dear Members,
I am not trying to be morbid, but a question was posed to me that I feel needs to be
posed to the entire project.
What happens to your flgenweb site if you die? Have you made provisions for it to be
turned over to someone or for it to be turned over to the FLGenWeb Project?
I know that I have left instructions with my will for all my genealogy related sites,
user id's and passwords, not just FLGenWeb County sites to be turned over to the SC of
the FLGenWeb Project, whomever that might be at the time of my demise and if I should
become incapacitated for any reason, my husband knows where I keep a list of my sites and
the access information with instructions to contact the SC if that should occur. I did
this several years ago when I had a serious health scare.
