Well it's been right at three months since I assumed the Project
Coordinator Position and I felt that I should let you all know where we
stand.
Presently all the counties are being hosted and that is good news.
However, we have lost a few hosts, but thank goodness there was someone
available to pick up the slack. As you can see from the county.htm page
thaere are some new names that have been recently added. The newest of
these are Steve and Barb Lavin stevel(a)bellatlantic.net, the new hosts
for Union County and Calvin and Lisa Pell lapell(a)worldnet.att.net, who
are hosting Sumter County. Jackie Hufschmid jhufschmid(a)prodigy.net, she
is hosting St Lucie and Martin Counties, Ann Hall AHall10643(a)aol.com,
Ann is the host for Holmes County and Jean Witherington
jow(a)phoenixat.com, Jean is co-hosting Osceola County. George Warren
xgvb83a(a)prodigy.com, whos is hosting Pasco County. I better not forget
Jim Powell jpowelljr(a)worldnet.att.net, Jim is the host for Gilchrist
County.
Each of us have our own developed talents in making the individual
County Web Pages appealing and informative to our internet viewers and
this is what it's all about. In addition to the new CC's, our volunteer
list is growing. I'll be posting in the future the names of our state
wide volunteers, for future reference.
With the inception of a State Surname Registry by several other states,
I felt that we should have one as well. I contacted Jim Powell and
asked if he would undertake developing a registry for Florida. His
development exceeded my expectations in his concept of a Surname and
Migration Registry Board.
In close, I feel that we have come a long way and as long as we remember
our primary objective "GENEALOGY", then we should strive to be the best
in the NATION.
Sincerely,
Darrel R. Bell
