At present I'm working on the 1850 & 1860 Hamilton County Census; and
start on the 1860 Lafayette County as soon as I'm finished with
Hamilton. Jim's getting me copies of the 1935 Lafayette County State
Census.
Cathy, will the CART program due justice for the state Census's; or will
I have to formulate my own format?

Hi Deborah,
I only know of 3 state censuses that are complete and readily available on
microfilm - 1885, which has been indexed, and 1935 and 1945 - which are not
indexed. Not as a whole, anyway - I did 1935 Indian River, and I believe
some others are done, too. Jim Powell is working on (or has finished) the
1935 Gilchrist County census, I believe.
I found this on the Florida State Genealogical Society website: "1935
State Census - Tom & Patti Martin of Miami are interested in indexing this
if there is enough interest from libraries and researchers."
Who else has State census records transcribed or indexed on their sites, or
knows of anyone working on them? If we all got together to volunteer for
our own counties, or to round up volunteers, it could get done pretty
quickly! I think it would be great to start with 1885 because of the lost
1890 census.
Good idea, Deborah!
