IMHO...no one wants the project to create another "genealogical civil war".
Most of us feel Florida is running very smoothly and want every county to
continue.
I, for one, don't want to be regulated or governed to death; we have enough
legislation to keep us busy for years just reading the statutes. Heck, it
would take many years longer to read the current statutes than it would to
read the Bible (whatever Bible you choose.) (please don't jump on me for
religious reasons, I'm only using a comparison) :)
We've ALL done a tremendous amount of work for ourselves and other
genealogists; heck, for even non-genealogists. It would defeat the purpose
for us to lose even one county's worth of information and contributions.
At this point, I plan to leave "my" county status quo and continue to add more
information as I am able.
I only hope this issue among the parties directly involved are able to resolve
their differences soon. We should all step back and review our purpose and
the goal of the GenWeb Project.
