Patrice,
I'm not real sure what the future holds for USGENWEB on the Rootsweb
servers. Though they have been quick to say thet supposedly nothing will
change. We already know that is hogwas from the rewording of the AUP and
the IBI incident, and now the appearance of mastheads and banners and ads on
our pages. The NC/AB is being very quiet about this and I only wonder how
that bodes for the project's current negotiations on the placement of those
ads, banners and mastheads.
I just know that I am in the process of moving my counties off rootsweb, it
has been wonderful but those ugly mastheads. banners and ads look horrible
with my site layouts.
If anyone else would like to remove themselves from RW, and have a banner
free, ad free site environment, contact me.

Hi,
For those who have not heard, Ancestry/The Generations Network has a
new majority shareholder. Spectrum Equity Investors paid $300
million to acquire the majority interest.
