They say great minds think alike, and as we hope to receive funding as an
online library of data, I think calling it the FLGenWeb Project Digital
Library is an excelleant idea. Now to my dilemma, I have no available funds
til the middle of Jan to buy anymore domain names and now I guess we need to
purchase
flgenweblibrary.com.net and .org. The more domains we can set up
pointing to our gateway sites the better our ranking on search engines, the
better our ranking is on search engines will help our efforts to secure
funding from some potential sources. The name Library also adds to our
status when seeking the tax exempt status from the IRS and helps give
legitimacy to our claims of educational value.
So yes, I would agree to calling our archives, the FLGENWEB Project Digital
Library.

Subject: Archives vs. Library
Hi Guys,
I have just been catching up on the USGenWeb Discuss list. There has been
a suggestion that the USGW Archives change it's name to Library. They
will probably never do that, because they have to get a bylaws admendment.
But it seemed like such a good idea that I thought I would broach it to
you all.
Would the FLGenWeb Library sound better than the FLGenWeb Archives? Or
even the Florida GenWeb Digital Library? I rather like the idea.
Rel@ively,
Patrice
